OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA – Effective May 1, 2010 Eximius Sports will be releasing their Counter-Strike Source squad. The team is being released due to their inability to produce a decent ranking in Counter-Strike Source invite season 6 in ESEA. Eximius Sports has always held their Counter-Strike Source division in the highest respect. The team itself was picked up during the playoffs of season five in ESEA Main. They had the desire and dedication that owner and manager Brad Dick wanted in a professional division. They finished winning season five ESEA Main and went on to the invite division.
The team began having roster problems with losing two of their best players in Sam “4shot” Mariano and Brian “brian Velez.” When the team was having problems with the roster situation Brian came to Brad about the possibility of getting control of the teams ownership to get rid of current owners Phillip “phiL” Boyd and Dustin “dranged” Money. Brad told the players that he backed the current owners of the team and wanted to give the guys a chance to prove themselves; everything from then on went spiraling downhill.
The team could not get a roster together nor had the respect to try to recruit good players to the team. The practice schedule was never consistent nor was the play. After losing three in a row and then losing 16-1 to CyberRevolution, owner Brad Dick stepped in.
Brad Dick messaged Dranged with this message,
“Going 0-4 is unacceptable and this is not going to work, good luck to your team.”
With that being said the guys changed their name to the current name “FILET O FISH.” The team is still playing in ESEA Invite and will be finishing out their season. Brad Dick leaves the team with this message:
“I really have no remorse to the guys. They are just not the team I thought they were. I believe there are a few guys on that roster that are ready for the professional division. But, I think there are a few of the players that are really holding the others back. For this lineup to get to ESEA LAN; they have to change something. I do hope they can get there though. I wish you the best of luck guys. With that being said, Eximius is looking for a new CS:S Invite team."
